Appliance Repair in Bartlett, IL

Bartlett grew up around a train depot, and a lot of it still runs on the schedule of the Milwaukee District West Line. Ours runs on the Elgin-O’Hare Tollway. From our shop at 95 Bradrock Dr in Des Plaines, it’s about 19 miles to Bartlett, and Route 390 does most of the work. Unique Repair Services has been in business since 1994. From Depot Town to Three Counties

Luther Bartlett gave money and half of a 40-acre woodlot in 1873 so the railroad would build a station here, and the town took his name. That 1873 depot still stands as the Bartlett Depot Museum. The village incorporated in 1892, but most of its growth came much later, in the 1980s. That’s why so many Bartlett homes are two-story houses from the 1980s and 1990s, now on their second or third set of appliances.

Today Bartlett sits mainly in Cook and DuPage counties, with a sliver in Kane County on its western edge. Most addresses use ZIP 60103, and a few share 60133 with Hanover Park. We serve all of them, from the older blocks near downtown and the depot to the subdivisions out by the Route 59 and Stearns Road shopping area and the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.

Appliances and Systems We Repair in Bartlett

Kitchen: refrigerators that warm up or ice makers that quit; ovens with dead bake elements or failed igniters; ranges and cooktops with burners that won’t light or glass that won’t heat; dishwashers that won’t drain or leave a film.

Laundry: washers that won’t spin or throw error codes, and dryers that run cool or take forever. Our vent cleaning clears the lint that builds up in long exterior vent runs.

Home systems: furnace and air conditioner repair, plus water heater service for tanks with no hot water, ignition trouble or leaks.

The technician diagnoses the problem first and explains the repair before any work starts.

Repair or Replace?

About 88% of occupied homes in Bartlett are owner-occupied, according to the Census Bureau’s 2019–2023 American Community Survey. Families who plan to stay usually want to know whether a repair makes sense before they buy something new. We’ll tell you what failed, whether the parts are available, and whether the appliance is worth fixing.

Furnace and AC Season in Bartlett

Bartlett’s many homes from the 1980s and 1990s are reaching the age when original or first-replacement furnaces and air conditioners need attention. In fall, we see igniter and flame-sensor failures as furnaces start up for the first time. In early summer, it’s capacitors, contactors and frozen evaporator coils. Replacing the filter regularly and keeping the outdoor unit clear of grass clippings and cottonwood fluff helps both systems last.

Guarantee

Questions From Bartlett Homeowners

Do you come out to the Kane County side of Bartlett?
Yes. We serve the whole village, whether your address is in Cook, DuPage or Kane County.

How far is Bartlett from your shop?
It’s about 19 miles from 95 Bradrock Dr in Des Plaines, mostly on the Elgin-O’Hare Tollway (IL-390).

My dryer is in the basement and the vent runs a long way to the outside. Does that matter?
It does. Long or kinked vent runs restrict airflow, which leads to long dry times, overheating and blown thermal fuses. We check the vent along with the dryer itself.

Can I book a Saturday visit?
Yes, from 8 AM to 4 PM.
